Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Herrin, Illinois. This assignment runs for 13 weeks, with 40 hours per week and 10-hour day shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurses, and may be RN first assistants. BLS and ACLS are required. As an OR Travel Nurse you will support perioperative care and patient education, standing long hours and potentially lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse.
• RN First Assistant experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education.
• Assist with instrument handling, monitoring and responding to complications.
• Ensure correct procedure and patient identification.
• Stand and move for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
