Job summary

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN in Intermediate Care for a 13-week assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. You will work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) with a 3:1 patient ratio in IMC and Thoracic units, and occasional float to other units.

The position requires 2+ years of acute care inpatient RN experience, ACLS/BLS, and WI or compact RN license. Weekly pay, with a $250 contract completion bonus, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years.
• Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required.
• Ventilator and transplant experience required.

Job Details

• Work 12-hour day/evening shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Schedule includes Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
• Traveler will work in both D6/5 IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and B4/3 IMC Thoracic unit
• Patient ratio is 3:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Floating to other units required as needed
• Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• ICU or IMC and surgical post-op experience required; if ICU, must be willing to work with IMC or general care patient population
• Thoracic experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Charting in Epic required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA only), WI RN or compact RN license
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to being cleared to start; traveler has two attempts to pass with a score of 80% or higher
• Care for patients with diagnoses including esophagectomies, lung volume reduction surgery, wedge resection surgery, cardiac surgery stepdown, and hospitalist patients
• Patient age groups served include adults and geriatrics
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tube management, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, pre/post cardiac cath and surgery, pre/post hemodialysis management, titration of vasoactive and insulin drips, wound care/wound vac, and more
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
