Job summary

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Endoscopy for a Madison, Wisconsin assignment. The role involves day/evening 8-hour shifts, acute care GI/pulmonary procedures, and high-acuity care in a Magnet-designated academic center.

You will perform sedation, support multidisciplinary teams, and float as needed while maintaining patient safety and high-quality care in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of acute care experience in the specialty within the last three years.
• Recent experience with GI/pulmonary procedures (ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, Bronchoscopy).
• Must pass telemetry test (score of 80% or higher).
• WI RN or compact RN license required; CGRN preferred.
• Academic level trauma center or similar size hospital experience preferred.
• Travel experience required; ability to float as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate sedation in procedures and pre/post all levels of care including PACU/Phase I and II.
• Assess sedation using Ramsay Sedation Scale within targeted range.
• Care for GI and bronchoscopy patients and administer sedation.
• Be part of a surgical team handling multispecialty procedures and OR management.
• Willing to work in high acuity environments including ICU and ED.

Opportunity:

RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

Day/Evening shift, 8-hour shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM
Weeknight call requirement
May need to stay past end of shift to finish the day's schedule
Perform Moderate Sedation in procedure, and pre/post all levels of care including PACU/Phase I and Phase II recovery
Utilize an RN driven assessment approach to sedation with patients managed within targeted sedation range based on Ramsay Sedation Scale score
Must have recent experience recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, and Bronchoscopy (some patients have general anesthesia rather than moderate sedation)
Provide care for patients during GI and Bronchoscopy procedures including administration of sedation
Serve as an integral part of a surgical team performing multispecialty procedures
Assume overall responsibility for management of the operating room to which you are assigned
High acuity environment - must be willing to do bedside procedures including ICU and ED
Travelers are required to float as needed
2 years of acute care experience in specialty required within the last 3 years
Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital experience required
Travel experience required
Epic charting system experience required
Must pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (two attempts allowed; passing score of 80% or higher required)
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, WI RN or compact RN license

The endoscopy unit serves adults and geriatrics with a daily census of 20-25 patients across 4 procedure rooms. The facility supports a high-acuity patient population and utilizes a multidisciplinary team approach to deliver specialized GI and pulmonary procedural care.
