Job summary

Alliance Services, Inc. seeks a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. You will rotate between IMC/Progressive Care units with 12-hour nights, caring for acutely ill adults and complex populations in a Magnet-designated academic medical center.

The role requires travel experience, two years of acute care in the past three years, and active ACLS/BLS. You’ll float as needed and work in a collaborative, high-acuity environment with strong nursing support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the required specialty.
• Travel experience required.
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required.
• Ventilator and transplant experience required.
• Experience in an Academic Level I/II trauma center or similar size hospital.
• Must pass a telemetry exam (80%+ on first attempt; two attempts).
• Identify lethal rhythms (VT/VF/VT and asystole) with 100% accuracy.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Wisconsin RN or compact RN license required.
• Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive and specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability.
• Care for specialty populations including Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant patients.
• Float between two units as needed and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Rotate shifts: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM; 12-hour nights; 36 hours/week.
• Maintain patient monitoring, telemetry, and rapid response readiness.

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work evening/night 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule is Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
• Rotate between two units: D6/5 IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and B4/3 IMC Thoracic unit
• Patient ratio is 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
• General care patient ratio is 1:4 and IMC patient ratio is 1:2
• Provide comprehensive and specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability
• Care for specialty populations including patients with Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post lung transplant diagnoses
• Work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment at an academic medical and Level 1 Trauma Center
• Travelers are required to float as needed

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA only)
• Wisconsin RN or compact RN license required
• Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
