American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification, with PET experience highly preferred.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
- CA license required if applicable
- CT Advanced Certification preferred
- PET experience highly preferred
- Epic experience preferred
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Skills include bone scans, myocardial and ventricular studies, SPECT, renal and thyroid studies, and cardiac stress testing
- Experience with drawing venous blood, starting IVs, and handling radioactive materials
- First-time travelers considered if they have 2+ years of experience and PET experience
Responsibilities
- Acute care hospital setting with 488 staffed beds
- Nuclear Medicine department performing PET/CT and nuclear cardiology procedures
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- May float between sister facilities within the region
- On-call not required but may be requested
- Uses Epic charting system
- GE, Philips, and Siemens equipment used
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures including PET scans, SPECT imaging, myocardial perfusion studies, and renal/hepatobiliary scans
- Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Free parking available on-site
- RN scrub color is royal blue; OR scrubs provided
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live more than 50 miles from the facility
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
