Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an MRI Technologist with 3–5 years of MRI experience for a fast-paced multi-scanner imaging department in Milwaukee, WI. The role requires GE and Siemens scanner experience, EPIC EMR proficiency, and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification with BLS.

Must also have licensure if applicable and be comfortable supporting a busy, inpatient/outpatient population with implantable devices and complex studies. Fulltime, evenings and weekend on-call rotations apply.

Responsibilities

• Work in a multi-scanner MRI department with GE and Siemens equipment
• Perform advanced imaging procedures including cardiac, neuro, body, MSK and specialty exams
• Imaging with outpatient, inpatient, and ED populations, including implants
• Maintain a 250-300 patient weekly census with 1:1 patient ratio
• Coordinate with a Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants
• No floating; MRI-only assignment
• Evening shift Monday–Friday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM and weekend on-call rotation

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 3-5 years of MRI experience and proficiency with both GE and Siemens scanners for a fast-paced, multi-scanner imaging department.

Requirements

• BLS and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
• License required if applicable
• 3-5 years of MRI experience required
• GE and Siemens scanner experience required
• Experience with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body patients required; cardiac MRI experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 12 months of core MRI experience, with most recent experience within the last year

Responsibilities

• Work in a dynamic MRI department with 6 scanners (5 currently operating), a mix of GE and Siemens equipment
• Perform advanced imaging procedures including cardiac, functional, neuro, body, musculoskeletal, and specialty exams
• Patient population includes outpatient, inpatient, and ED patients with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac cases
• Weekly census of 250-300 patients with 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, Siemens Magnetom Skyra, and McKesson PACS
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Monday-Friday evening shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• Weekend on-call rotation approximately every 8 weeks, including on-site Saturday hours with a compensatory weekday off
• On-call hours Saturday and Sunday 2100-0630, with backup on-call Saturday and Sunday 0630-2100 and a 30-minute response time
• Weekly rotating responsibility for first-shift backup on-call
• No floating required - MRI only
• Located in Milwaukee, WI at a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Magnet-designated, Primary Stroke Center facility with 933 beds
• Work alongside a team of experienced Technologists and Imaging Assistants in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Traveler will never work alone and will have support from a Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants
• 3 days of orientation provided
• Weekend rotation maximum every 3rd weekend
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Scrubs may be any professional color
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
• Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
