Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment in Nebraska. The role requires 2+ years of experience and Trauma Level I experience, with ARRT MR certification and BLS. License is required for the state of submission, and IV starts are expected.

Shifts are 3x12s days, with alternating schedules and call coverage. Responsibilities include operating Siemens Aera 1.5T, Trio 3T, Espree 1.5T, performing cardiac and breast imaging, and ensuring accurate imaging

• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of submission.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of MR studies including cardiac, breast, and some angio imaging.
• Operate in an acute care Trauma Level I setting with 3 scanners.
• Average 35-40 scans per day; limited to MRI department; no floating to other areas.

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years experience and Trauma Level I experience for a 13-week acute care assignment on 3x12 rotating day shifts.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of submission; license required if applicable
• Must be able to start IVs
• Driver's license required for submission and used to verify residency location
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting at a Trauma Level I facility
• Department has 3 scanners: Siemens Aera 1.5T, Trio 3T, and Espree 1.5T
• Performs a wide range of studies including cardiac, breast, and some angio imaging
• Averages 35-40 scans/studies per day
• Uses EPIC and McKesson PACS (transitioning to Merge)
• MRI techs must be able to start IVs
• 3x12 hour shifts, days vary, 7a-730p, rotating schedule
• Call requirement every other Thursday as backup coverage
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• No floating outside of MRI department
• Covers a maternity leave assignment
• Radiologist in-house during the day, resident coverage overnight
• One week of department-specific orientation with flexible scheduling
• Gray scrubs required; scrubs not provided
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not be currently or recently employed (full time, part time, or PRN) with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year
