Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an MRI technologist for a magnet-designated teaching hospital with a focus on adult and pediatric acute care in Greenwich, CT. The role involves CT imaging support for ICU, ER/trauma, and outpatient populations, using GE MRI systems and Epic EMR for charting.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of hospital MRI experience, ARRT-MR certification, and strong trauma imaging skills. Per diem not accepted; on-site work with potential on-call duties.

Qualifications

• ARRT-MR certification required; ARRT MR only not accepted.
• Minimum 2 years GE MRI equipment experience.
• Level 3 trauma experience needed.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred.
• Abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and MSK MRI proficiency.
• Special imaging techniques including diffusion imaging and post-processing preferred.
• PPE, contrast administration, and IV starts proficiency mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support MRI department in an 186-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital.
• Assist imaging of adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, ER/trauma, and outpatients.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years GE equipment experience required
• Level 3 trauma experience required
• ARRT-MR certification required (ARMRIT certification alone not accepted)
• ARRT-R certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skilled in abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI studies
• Experience with special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion imaging, and post-processing techniques preferred
• Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media administration, and peripheral IV starts
• 1 professional reference required
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• 186-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital setting
• MRI department supporting adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, ER/trauma, and outpatient populations
• Assists with breast patient imaging and positioning
• GE MRI equipment used
• Epic EMR required
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Potential for on-call responsibilities
• Navy scrubs required
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
• Maximum RTO of 7 days with willingness to add time to end of assignment if needed
• Candidates must be willing to communicate any vacation plans prior to start date
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of facility
• Former staff must have been separated for 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with exemptions only for religious/medical reasons
