Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and strong travel experience for a 13-week evening-shift assignment. This hospital-based role covers adult and pediatric imaging with a variety of procedures and multiple vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required.
• Strong travel experience required.
• AR RT MR or ARMRIT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Siemens experience preferred.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Experience with contrast media and IV starts required.
• License required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based MRI department serving adult and pediatric populations.
• Imaging of abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine and MSK.
• Perform special procedures: MRA/MRV, MRCP, diffusion and post-processing.
• Work with GE, Philips, Siemens and PACS systems.
• Five 8-hour evening shifts, Mon-Fri 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM; on-call every other week.
• RTO submitted with app; occasional holidays; active license before start date.
• Notifies if candidate not within 50-mile radius; drug screen on arrival.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
• Strong travel experience required
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Siemens experience strongly preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Experience preparing and administering contrast media and starting peripheral IVs required
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based MRI department supporting adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/Trauma, and pediatric populations
• Performs imaging of abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal studies
• Conducts special imaging procedures including MRA/MRV, MRCP, diffusion imaging, gradient echo imaging, and image post-processing
• Uses GE, Philips, and Siemens equipment along with PACS
• 5x8 hour evening shifts, Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• On-call required every other week from end of shift Friday through Monday at 7:00 AM
• Performs a wide range of MRI studies across neuro, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and abdominal imaging specialties
• RTO must be submitted with application and candidates should expect to work some holidays
• Pending license accepted at submission but must be active before start date
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• On-site drug screen required upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for failure
