American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a Level IV Trauma Center teaching hospital in Milwaukee. The role supports adult inpatient and outpatient imaging with on-site radiologist coverage and a busy daily census.

The ideal candidate holds BLS and ARRT, MRI certification preferred, and has at least 1 year of MRI experience. The position includes evening shifts, on-call rotation, and benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and CEUs.

Formación

• Current WI license required if applicable.
• BLS and ARRT certification required.
• MR certification with ARRT highly preferred but not required; ARMRIT certification also accepted.
• Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in any setting.
• Proficient in starting peripheral IVs.
• Comfortable working as a solo MRI Tech.
• Candidate's middle name/initial, DOB, and last 4 of SSN required for consideration.
• At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN.

Responsabilidades

• Single-room MRI unit within a Level IV Trauma Center teaching hospital
• Inpatient and outpatient patient population, mostly adults with occasional neonatal patients
• Procedures include general MSK, breast, stroke, head/neck/back issues, soft tissue injuries, brain scans, MRCP, extremities, and breast biopsies
• Limited appointment slots weekly for patients with pacemakers
• No sedation/anesthesia patients currently
• Average daily census of 10-12 MRI patients
• 8-hour day shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, 40 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend
• On-call required every 3rd week for nights (2000-0600) with a 30-minute response time
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, McKesson PACS, and Siemens Aera MRI equipment
• Work under a Director with an MRI background
• Radiologist on-site 0700-1600 with remote radiologist coverage 24/7
• ED, shared work area with CT Techs, RT, Hospitalist, and Rapid Response/Code Team available for support 24/7
• Holiday coverage required only if it falls on a regular or on-call day, divided equally among MRI Techs
• Scrubs may be any professional color, excluding denim or camo
• Free parking provided in designated employee areas
• First-time travelers considered only if candidate has 5+ years of MRI experience
• No radius rules apply; local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
