American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of MRI experience for a fast-paced Level 2 trauma center in Nevada. Job description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of MRI experience and prior travel assignment experience for a fast-paced Level 2 trauma center.

Requirements

• ARRT certification in MRI required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
• Experience with GE or Philips scanners required
• Prior travel assignment experience of at least one 13-week contract required
• Must be able to work with patients ranging from infant to geriatric populations

Responsibilities

• Outpatient imaging department within a Level 2 trauma center and stroke-accredited 800-bed hospital with an 80-bed ER
• 3x12 shifts with rotating days and varied schedules including weekends and holidays
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• Call requirements apply
• May float to other areas within competency level based on organizational needs
• Uses EPIC for charting, with training available during orientation or test-out option
• Produce diagnostic MRI scans and assist radiologists and referring physicians with MRI procedures
• Serve a facility supporting a 500-mile radius catchment area with high patient volume and acuity
• May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Facility may cancel shifts with 48 hours notice for low census, full or partial
• Minimum of 2 major holidays required to be worked
• Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Returning travelers must have a 13-week break after ending a prior contract before reapplying
• RTO must be submitted with the application, as unused time is not added to the end of the contract
