Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist to support a Level I trauma hospital's inpatient and outpatient imaging services. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MRI experience and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, with BLS and Level I trauma exposure.

Teaching hospital experience is a plus. The role involves performing MRI scans across Brain, Body, Breast and Spine, using PACS and Siemens equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year MRI Technologist experience required.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Level I Trauma experience required.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans for inpatient and outpatient populations in a Level I trauma hospital.
• Scans include Brain, Body, Breast and Spine imaging.
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Tuesday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
• Weekend call required approximately every 4–6 weeks.
• Must be available to work holidays as specified.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification to support a Level I trauma hospital's inpatient and outpatient imaging services.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Experience with CINE, diffusion imaging, gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, perfusion, peripheral MRA, spectroscopy, spin echo, and T1/T2 weighted imaging
• Experience with surface coils required
• Proficient in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Experience starting peripheral IVs required
• Fluoroscopy Permit preferred
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans for inpatient and outpatient populations in a Level I trauma hospital
• Scans include Brain (Perfusion, Functional, Spectroscopy), Body (Enterography, Defecography, Musculoskeletal), Breast (including Breast biopsy), and Spine
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Tuesday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Weekend call required Friday through Sunday approximately every 4-6 weeks
• Must be available to work 4 of the 8 major holidays (Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, 12/26, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Uses PACS and Siemens equipment
• Candidates must be able to shave for proper mask seal during OSHA Fit Testing; no medical or religious exemptions are accepted
• Candidates may not use personal CAPRs or PAPRs; facility does not provide these devices
• Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler at this facility and must take a 6-month break before returning
• Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and will not be accepted for this position
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
