American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of clinical MRI experience for a Magnet-designated Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital in Wisconsin. ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification and BLS are required.

Responsibilities include day/evening shifts on a 8-12 hour schedule, with a primary Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon rotation. GE MRI equipment and PACS are used; travelers may float as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• License required if applicable.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of clinical experience and ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification for a Level I Trauma academic hospital setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of clinical MRI experience required
• ARRT Magnetic Resonance (MR) certification or ARMRIT certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required
• License required if applicable
• Level I Trauma experience required; Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skills in abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular MRI imaging required
• Experience with special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion, gradient echo, MIP, MRP, and spin/T1/T2 weighted images
• Proficiency in contrast media preparation/administration and peripheral IV starts
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required
• Must be able to communicate independently and confidently with inpatient and ED teams

Responsibilities

• MRI Tech unit at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital
• Day/Evening shifts with 8 and 12-hour schedules
• Primary schedule Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday
• Friday and Monday 8-hour day shifts starting between 6:30-8:30 AM
• Saturday and Sunday 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Travelers required to float as needed
• GE MRI equipment and PACS imaging system used
• Epic charting system preferred
• Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Pass/fail telemetry exam required prior to start with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric rhythm identification
• Two attempts allowed to pass the telemetry exam, with a cardiac interpretation review course required before a third attempt
• Parking permit required for onsite parking, with alternative transportation options available
• First-time travelers may be considered
