Job summary

American Traveler seeks an MRI Technologist with 1+ year MR Cardiac experience and ARRT MR certification for a Trauma Level I facility. The role involves working in a mobile MRI unit serving inpatient and outpatient populations.

Shifts are 4x10 hours (Mon-Thu 6:00–4:30) with rotating Fri-Sun call; extensive imaging across Brain, Body, Breast and Spine; PACS and Siemens equipment; travel and licensure reimbursements available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year MR imaging experience
• ARRT MR certification required
• BLS certification required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with MR Cardiac imaging with and without contrast required
• Experience preparing and administering contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
• Experience with abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Experience with CINE, diffusion, perfusion, spectroscopy, and MR angiography
• Fluoroscopy permit may be required if applicable
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Work in a mobile MRI unit serving inpatient and outpatient populations
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Rotating Friday-Sunday call required
• Scans include Brain (Perfusion, Functional, Spectroscopy), Body (Enterography, Defecography, Musculoskeletal), Breast (including biopsy), and Spine
• Uses PACS and Siemens equipment
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted
• Must be clean-shaven to achieve proper mask seal for respirator fit testing; no medical or religious exemptions are accepted
• CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided, and personal units are not permitted
• Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler and must take a 6 month break before returning
