Job summary

U.S. Dermatology Partners seeks a Histology Technologist to support diagnostic tissue evaluation in Mohs laboratory settings. The role covers embedding, microtomy, staining, and immunohistochemistry as applicable, with careful attention to specimen orientation and labeling.

Travel to Plano, Dallas, and Corsicana is required. The candidate should have relevant laboratory experience, an associate or bachelor-level degree in chemistry or biology, and ASCP HT/HTL certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year laboratory experience preferred.
• Associate's Degree required; credit hour specifics may apply.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biology preferred.
• Certified Histological Technician or Technologist (HT/HTL, ASCP) preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform embedding, microtomy and sectioning for histology
• Conduct routine H&E staining and quality control checks
• Prepare reagents and maintain staining procedures
• Label and file slides; maintain lab logs and records
• Assist in quality control and safety procedures in the Mohs lab
• Operate and maintain lab instruments; report issues promptly
