QualDerm Partners LLC seeks a Mohs Histotechnician to support Mohs micrographic surgery by providing high-quality histology services in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role requires precise work and strong attention to detail.

You will prepare frozen sections, process and embed tissues, perform staining, and maintain meticulous records while collaborating with surgeons and clinical staff. A Bachelor’s in Histotechnology and ASCP HTL certification are preferred, with emphasis on accuracy and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Histotechnology or related field.
• ASCP HTL certification preferred.
• Prior experience in histology or Mohs laboratory strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with team members and patients.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cut frozen sections of tissue specimens utilizing Mohs surgical techniques.
• Process and embed tissue samples accurately and efficiently for histopathological examination.
• Perform staining techniques for slide preparation and ensure quality control measures are met.
• Document all steps and processes associated with specimen processing and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety and regulatory standards as outlined by CLIA.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to support uninterrupted workflow.
• Collaborate with the surgical and clinical teams to ensure a seamless operation during Mohs procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to other laboratory staff as necessary.
• Engage in continuous education and training to improve histotechnical skills and knowledge.
• Other related duties as assigned by the laboratory supervisor or team lead.
