Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Histotechnology or a related field.
• ASCP Histotechnologist (HTL) certification preferred.
• Experience in histology or Mohs laboratory preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cut frozen sections using Mohs surgical techniques.
• Process and embed tissue samples accurately for histopathological examination.
• Perform staining techniques and ensure quality control.
• Document all steps and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA laboratory standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to support Mohs procedures.
• Provide guidance to other laboratory staff as necessary.
• Engage in ongoing education to improve histotechnical skills.
