This Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse role is based in Lewiston, Maine, with day and night shifts, a 12-week assignment, and a base pay range of $40.32–$55.06 per hour plus a $3/hour differential.

The position requires active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS with at least one year of charge nurse experience in a Med Surg setting, offering weekly pay and consistent career support.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) required at hire and maintained.
• One year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg required.
• PALS (AHA) required at hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervise, direct, and evaluate team members.
• Ensure effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintain efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient care plans and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Support a safe, high-quality, patient-centered care environment.
• Oversee staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
