Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks a Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. You will assist the Director with daily department operations, supervise the Med Surg team, and ensure efficient patient care and resource use.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and at least one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg. Compensation ranges from $40.32 to $55.06 per hour, up to $1,451–$1,982 weekly, with a $3/hour differential

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg setting required.
• PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates team members.
• Ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient care plans and directs necessary adjustments.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Supports a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
• Oversees staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
