Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse for the Lewiston, Maine area. This 12-week assignment offers days and nights shifts with pay up to $1,982 per week and $55.06 per hour, plus a $3/hour differential. Weekly pay and flexible opportunities support your career journey.

You will supervise a Med Surg team, support department operations, and ensure high-quality patient care under the direction of the Director. RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg setting required.
• PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates team members.
• Ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient care plans and directs necessary adjustments.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Supports a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
• Oversees staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
