Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse for Lewiston, Maine. This 12-week assignment offers days and nights shifts with weekly pay and a $3/hour differential on top of base pay.

Responsibilities include assisting with department operations, supervising staff, ensuring efficient use of resources, and maintaining high patient care standards while providing direct patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) required on hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) on hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates team members.
• Ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient care plans and directs necessary adjustments.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Supports a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
• Oversees staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
