Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse in Lewiston, Maine. The role offers days and nights shifts for a 12-week assignment with a weekly pay range and a $3/hour differential on top of base pay.

You will supervise Med Surg staff, assist with department operations, and coordinate patient care to ensure high-quality outcomes, while collaborating with physicians to maintain standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg setting required.
• PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervise, direct, and evaluate team members.
• Ensure effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintain efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient care plans and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Support a safe, high-quality, patient-centered care environment.
• Oversee staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
