Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a fast-paced IR department supporting vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists. Requires at least 1 year of IR experience and ARRT(R) certification.

The role offers 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) with weekend call requirements and potential travel to sister facilities. EPIC charting, GE Innova IGS and Siemens equipment are used; community hospital setting with generous housing and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of IR experience and ARRT(R) certification.
• BLS certification required; IR/CV certification preferred.
• Washington license required if applicable; outpatient experience needed.
• Experience with EPIC, GE Innova IGS, Siemens equipment, PACS and C-Arm.
• Experience with angiograms, nephrograms, and vascular procedures.
• Community hospital experience preferred; travel/first-time traveler accepted.

Responsibilities

• Support a fast-paced IR department with vascular surgeons and IRs.
• Cover 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Call required on weekends and one day per week; potential travel to sister facilities.
• Charting in EPIC; operate GE/Siemens imaging systems; maintain sterile field.

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a fast-paced IR department supporting vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT(R) certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology required
• ARRT(R) and BLS certification required
• IR/CV Certification preferred
• Washington state license required if applicable
• Outpatient work setting experience required
• Operating Room, ER, and Adult ICU experience preferred
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Experience with angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, peripherals, and venous access required
• Ablation experience preferred
• Experience with abdominal and pelvic procedures, angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, thoracentesis, and vascular studies/procedures
• Experience with equipment set up, prepping access sites, room circulating, and sterile field maintenance
• Experience with GE Innova IGS and Siemens equipment preferred
• Experience with PACS preferred
• Experience with C-Arm equipment
• Community hospital experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Responsibilities

• Fast-paced Interventional Radiology department supporting Vascular Surgeons and Interventional Radiologists
• Short term acute care hospital with 325 staffed beds
• Uses Philips rooms (including one biplane) and one GE Hybrid room
• Charting via EPIC
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend requirement for call coverage only
• Call required 1 day/week and 1 weekend/month
• May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted location
• Technologists are part of a well-rounded, experienced IR team
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests should be minimal and submitted up front, ideally under 7 days
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• 2 professional references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
