Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with neurointerventional experience for a cardiac interventional radiology role. ARRT (R) registry and 2-3 years IR experience are required.

The position features 4x9 hour days (7:30 AM–5:00 PM) with weekly call including weekends, and opportunities for travel within Premier hospital locations. Comprehensive benefits and housing/travel reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related Allied Health field is required.
• 2-3 years of Radiologic Technologist experience is required.
• Neurointerventional experience is required.
• ARRT RT (R) registry is required.
• VI registry preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• BLS is required; ACLS preferred.
• State licensure required prior to start; may be obtained during compliance period.
• License required if applicable.
• Epic charting experience is required.
• Sterile technique and maintaining a sterile field are required.
• Lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract.

Responsibilities

• Interventional Radiology department setting.
• 4x9 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Weekly call, including 2 weekends and 6 weekday call shifts over 13 weeks.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Procedures include angioplasty, chemoembolization, chest tube, gastrostomy tube, paracentesis, hepatic angiography, thoracentesis.
• Vascular studies and procedures including carotid stenting, central venous access/port placement, dialysis graft creation/interventions, endovascular interventions, TIPS, angiography.
• Neurological studies including carotid angiography.
• Genitourinary procedures including nephrostomy, renal angiography, renal artery stent placement, UA embolization.
• Additional skills include liver ablation and 3D imaging.
• Perform range of interventional radiology procedures across vascular, neurological, and genitourinary studies.
• Scrub and maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Float within hospital or to Premier hospital as needed; no restriction.
• Max 14 days RTO; not negotiable after offer.
• Local radius 30 miles; local travelers considered.
• No extension for previous PERM/PRN staff; requires facility rehire approval.
• First-time travelers may be considered.

• Perform a range of interventional radiology procedures including vascular, neurological, and genitourinary studies
• Responsible for scrubbing and maintaining sterile field during procedures
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Candidates may float within the hospital or to another nearby Premier hospital based on skill set and census, with no restrictions
• Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract, with no schedule requests or RTO negotiable after an offer is made
• Local radius for Radiology candidates is 30 miles; local travelers are considered for Radiology roles
• Previous PERM/PRN staff or prior agency employees of the facility not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before applying as a traveler and require facility rehire approval
• First-time travelers may be considered
