American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology position. Requires 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT VI certification; MD license or compact license may be required.

On-site role with 4x10 hour days and on-call every 6th weekend for a travel assignment. Responsibilities include working in the Interventional Radiology/Special Procedures unit, equipment setup, and executing a range of IR studies while maintaining sterile techniques and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent IR experience within the last 7 years.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• ARRT VI certification preferred.
• MD state license or compact license required if applicable.
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment.
• Cerner charting system experience required.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Skilled in interventional radiology and special procedures including angiography, embolization, biopsy, catheter/drain placement, and vascular access procedures.
• Experience with EKG lead placement and recognition of life‑threatening arrhythmias preferred.
• Proficient in sterile technique, infection control, and isolation precautions/PPE.

Responsibilities

• Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures unit responsibilities.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• On-call required every 6th weekend.
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• Uses fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound equipment.
• Prepare access sites, monitor, and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
• Perform abdominal, pelvic, genitourinary, and vascular studies.
• Flu vaccine required for all employees.
• Scrubs provided.
• No RTO during first two weeks of assignment; max 7 days RTO per 13-week contract.
• Returning MedStar staff must have minimum one-year separation before eligibility.
