Job summary

TotalMed RN in Boston is seeking a Travel Infusion/PICC RN to deliver specialized care for patients requiring infusion therapy and PICC management. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour evening shifts, focusing on patient safety, education, and high-quality care across infusion services.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of infusion experience, BLS, state licensure eligibility, and strong assessment and line care skills to support a busy clinical team in a travel

Qualifications

• At least one year of infusion setting experience.
• Current BLS certification and state licensure eligibility.
• Infusion/PICC nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments for infusion therapy or PICC placement.
• Insert, maintain, and care for PICC lines and central venous devices.
• Administer IV medications and fluids with proper techniques.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on PICC care and infusion therapy at home.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team to ensure continuity across settings.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses accurately.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Manage a caseload with timely visits and updates.
