Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an Infusion/PICC RN for a travel assignment in Boston, MA. The role involves administering infusion therapies, managing PICC lines, and coordinating care with the healthcare team. Requires 1+ year RN infusion experience and BLS certification.

The position is 13 weeks long, with 40 hours per week, 10-hour daytime shifts, and a travel employment type. Benefits are available through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience in an infusion setting.
• Current BLS certification and eligibility for State licensure.
• Infusion RNs should be able to stand/walk for long periods and lift with proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine infusion therapy needs.
• Insert, maintain, and care for PICC lines and central venous access devices.
• Administer IV medications, fluids, and other treatments per orders.
• Monitor patient responses during and after infusions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on PICC care and infusion therapy at home.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care across settings.
• Document nursing interventions, patient responses, and care plans accurately.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols and proper disposal of equipment.
