Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior Operations Engineer to lead cross-functional projects, delivering advanced distribution solutions from planning to handover. You will partner with internal customers, vendors, and stakeholders to drive schedules, mitigate risks, and ensure safe, efficient facility processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial/mechanical engineering or related STEM field.
• 8+ years of experience in project/engineer roles delivering complex programs.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and automated equipment/systems.
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex project lifecycles across organizations and geographies.
• Participate in engineering reviews shaping system architecture and processes.
• Set priorities, milestones and schedules with teams and vendors; identify dependencies.
• Lead execution of system/equipment designs; perform installations, qualifications, and optimizations.
• Facilitate meetings with clear objectives; document decisions and actions.
• Communicate status, risk analyses and mitigation plans to leadership.
• Explain designs and capabilities to internal customers and partners.
• Manage change orders, purchase orders and invoice approvals efficiently.
• Build strong relationships across multiple projects; drive process improvements.
• Travel up to 80% domestically; relocation assistance may be provided.
