Job summary

Amazon is seeking an innovative and solutions-oriented Operations Engineer for Global Engineering Services North America Operations Engineering to root cause, solve, and scale systemic challenges in First and Middle Mile Operations.

You will collaborate with internal and external teams to develop, monitor and innovate cost-effective solutions for our sortation and distribution systems, traveling 50-70% and relocating when needed.

Qualifications

4+ years in industrial/operations/manufacturing engineering or similar.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level.
Experience with third party vendors.
Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.
Experience developing standards, policies, and programs.
Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and high-speed systems.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Responsibilities

Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions for sortation and transportation networks.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver cost-effective solutions rapidly.
Manage multiple projects while effectively influencing and communicating with partners.
Communicate vision, roadmap and deliver technical solutions.
