Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional projects for the next generation of sortation and distribution solutions. You will own project objectives, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, and drive schedules with a focus on safety, throughput, and quality across North America.

The role requires 75% travel annually and relocation to a corporate office when not traveling.

Qualifications

3+ years of industrial/operations/manufacturing/project engineering experience in manufacturing
Knowledge of material handling equipment (MHE) and automated systems
Experience with AutoCAD, VBA, SQL at an intermediate level

Responsibilities

Manage lifecycle of cross-functional projects from planning to handover
Lead engineering reviews and optimize system architecture and facility processes
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to set milestones and drive schedules
Lead execution of system designs, installations, qualifications, and improvements
Document decisions, risks, and status; communicate with leadership and partners
Travel up to 75% domestically and work from a corporate office when not traveling
