Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to own complex cross-functional projects within our facility network, including new builds, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives. Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
• Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex project lifecycles across organizations and geographies, delivering on objectives and targets as project owner.
• Partner with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors to set priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules.
• Lead execution of systems and automated equipment designs per established standards. Perform installation, throughput, and safety qualifications.
• Document discussions, decisions, and action items to ensure alignment.
• Communicate project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans promptly and accurately to leadership.
• Travel up to 80% domestically, with variable intensity including extended trips up to three weeks.
