Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional projects, developing and delivering the next generation of sortation and distribution solutions, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely handovers and successful implementations.

You will manage schedules, mitigate risks, coordinate with vendors, and drive execution of system designs, with up to 75% regional travel and relocation assistance if needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial/operations/manufacturing engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE).
• Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions.
• Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% (nationwide).

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of challenging cross-functional projects, delivering objectives.
• Partner with teams and vendors to set priorities and deadlines.
• Lead execution of system and equipment designs per established standards.
• Coordinate meetings, document decisions, and drive accountability.
• Communicate project status and risk mitigation to leadership.
• Travel up to 75% domestically.
