Siemens is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support power distribution systems across multiple states. The role focuses on commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting in diverse industrial environments with heavy travel.

You will work with protection relays and switchgear, delivering reliable system performance. The position requires 4+ years of field experience, and a willingness to travel up to 80% domestically.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of field-based commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical power distribution systems.
• Experience with protection and control relays (SEL, GE Multilin, Siemens SIPROTEC) and related software.
• Relay testing equipment such as Omicron and/or Doble test sets.
• Knowledge of low- and medium-voltage switchgear, breakers, and control circuits.
• Willingness to travel up to ~80% domestically and work without sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Install, test, commission, and start up low- and medium-voltage equipment up to 38 kV.
• Perform hands-on commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of protection/ control relays.
• Use test equipment and software to validate system performance.
• Support greenfield and brownfield projects through commissioning and maintenance.
• Analyze test results and document findings in field reports.
• Provide technical support and training to customers, partners and internal teams.
• Travel extensively to job sites across the U.S. to support field execution.
