Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Ohio to commission, test, and troubleshoot power distribution and protection systems across industrial environments. The role is field-based, travel-intensive, and supports greenfield and brownfield projects nationwide.

You will work with customers, partners, and internal teams to provide technical support and on-site commissioning, with up to 80% travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of field-based commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical power distribution systems.
• Protection and control relays experience (SEL, GE Multilin, SIPROTEC) and related configuration software.
• Relay testing equipment such as Omicron and Doble test sets.
• Experience with low- and medium-voltage switchgear, breakers, and control circuits.

Responsibilities

• Installing, testing, commissioning, and starting up LV–MV power distribution equipment (approx. 480V–38kV).
• Performing commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of protection and control relays.
• Using test equipment and software to validate system performance.
• Supporting greenfield and brownfield projects through commissioning and maintenance.
