Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to lead installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of low- and medium-voltage power distribution equipment. You will support protection and control relay systems for customers across North America, with up to 80% travel and a focus on safe, compliant field service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8+ years experience with low- and medium-voltage power systems.
• Experience with protection/control relay commissioning and testing.
• Familiar with relay test equipment and software.
• Field-based commissioning experience in industrial or utility settings.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% nationwide.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and start up LV/MV equipment at customer sites.
• Develop and execute test plans for protection and control relay systems.
• Perform hands-on commissioning using relay test equipment and software.
• Support protection and control systems from multiple manufacturers.
• Develop switching procedures and electrical safety guidance.
• Support greenfield/brownfield installations, warranty responses, and retrofits.
• Document results and create clear technical reports.
