Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Special Care Aide (SCA) for Poplar Bluff, MO on a PRN, flexible schedule basis. You will help new clients start care, provide essential personal care, and assist with daily activities and meals.

Travel within the service area is expected, with opportunities for growth and a supportive team environment. This role emphasizes compassionate, dependable caregiving with the ability to work independently and use mobile documentation tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required where state regulations apply.
• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• Certifications such as HHA, PCA, CNA, MA or similar where required by state.

Responsibilities

• Support new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Provide personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Perform housekeeping and household support; assist with errands and transportation.
• Monitor client condition and report changes; document visit records.
• Provide coverage for open shifts and urgent staffing needs; travel within service area.
