ProAutomated Inc. seeks field engineers to support on-site startup and testing for automation projects across North America.

This role emphasizes travel, problem-solving, and direct customer interaction, with a four-week paid training program to build foundational electrical, programming, and networking skills. Expect rotations away from home, a focus on hands-on work, and opportunities for growth as you contribute to complex integration projects.

Qualifications

• Willing to travel and live on rotation.
• Experience with electrical systems, programming, and networking is preferred.
• 3+ years in electrical/mechanical/automation engineering or a technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups with on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on-site.
• Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams.
• Navigate travel rotations and schedules (e.g., 5 on 2 off, 10 on 4 off, 14 on 7 off).
