Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) seeks a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and overhaul rotating equipment on-site across North America. You will lead on-site diagnostics, perform precision alignments, and conduct rigorous testing, delivering unmatched customer service and maintaining safety standards.

You will use advanced tools (Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, DLRO) and travel as needed, joining a team of skilled technicians dedicated to reliability and uptime for diverse industrial

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with rotating industrial equipment or similar machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose mechanical failures in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and professional reporting of findings.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and be willing to travel, including on-call weekends.
• Experience with PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of rotating equipment.
• Perform laser alignments, installation/removal of motors and coupled equipment.
• Utilize precision tools to diagnose wear and verify tolerances.
• Conduct safety-focused field service and collaborate with teams to meet project goals.
• Carry out testing with portable electronic equipment (Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, DLRO).
