Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Hartford, CT seeks a SEDM Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair Mitsubishi Machining products at customer sites. This is a 100% travel role, with travel primarily in the US and occasional international assignments.

You will apply mechanical and electrical knowledge to repair, test, and modify complex equipment on site. The role requires strong communication, ability to read schematics, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Able to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• CNC programming skills a plus.
• Proficient with Windows operating systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Extensive travel required; valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repair.
• Examine machines mechanically and electrically to repair by dismantling and rebuilding as needed.
• Diagnose problems and troubleshoot via telephone.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
• Document product problems and resolutions.
• Other duties as assigned.
