Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. in Fargo, ND is seeking an Environmental Field Laborer to join our safety conscious team.

This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. You will work long days, be on-call for emergency response, attend safety meetings, and travel as needed to build our regional book of business.

• On-call requirement with potential long hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and procedures.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use various hand tools and powered tools.
• Wear and use PPE including respirators and protective gear in multiple configurations.
• Work in different temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Handle hazardous materials and conduct waste sampling as needed.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and enter various containers safely.
• Attend compliance and safety update meetings and be on-call as needed.
• Safely load/unload waste and observe DOT and regulatory requirements.
