Job summary

Environmental Restoration LLC in Garner, NC is seeking an Environmental Laborer to support hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. You will follow PROS safety procedures, perform both routine and emergency response tasks, work in all weather conditions, and operate light and heavy equipment such as skid steers and forklifts.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen, a criminal background check, and a physical exam.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States (verified through E-Verify).
• Willingness to obtain OSHA (40 hour) Certification.
• Ability and willingness to work on an on-call basis as business needs require.
• Ability to work in a physically intensive role.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to wear a respirator.
• Regularly lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to interpret and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follows PROS – Pause, Review, Observe, Start to ensure Health and Safety is the top goal.
• Performs non-emergency and emergency response activities involving biological and chemical materials.
• Performs labor-intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift.
• Works in atmospheres with low clearances, in confined spaces and at heights.
• Operates light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, and pressure washers.
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Maintains warehouse, stocks supplies, and handles building upkeep.
• On-call 24/7 for emergency responses; travel is required.
• Maintains an excellent driving history.
