Job summary

Clean Harbors in Omaha, NE is seeking an Environmental Field Laborer to support hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

This role involves long days, on-call emergency response, and travel up to 2 weeks for training and projects. You must pass a background check and drug test; a valid driver's license is required and safety training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check, drug test, and medical exam.
• On-call for emergency response; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Reliable transportation required to job sites and training.
• OSHA respirator standards compliance and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety in all tasks and follow policy.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling.
• Operate light and heavy equipment with PPE usage.
• Work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders and scaffolding; work from trucks and tanks.
• On-call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Support site remediation and handling of hazardous materials.
