Clean Harbors in Dolton, IL seeks an Environmental Field Laborer to perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials in the field. The role requires a valid driver license, long daily hours with overtime after 40, and willingness to travel for training and emergency responses.

New hires attend Academy training out of state, with travel and training expenses covered.

Qualificações

• Reliable transportation is required to perform field duties.
• Ability to perform physical functions as described in key responsibilities.
• On-call status with potential emergency response duties.
• Successful completion of background check, drug test and physical.
• Facial hair standards apply for respirator use.

Responsabilidades

• Follow health and safety policies and work safely at all times.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use various hand tools.
• Wear PPE, including respirators and protective clothing.
• Work indoors/outdoors in varied temperatures and weather.
• Handle hazardous materials and work with potential toxic agents.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces, and at elevated noise levels.
• Assist in field sampling and calibrate meters as needed.
• Climb ladders and scaffolding and enter trucks and tanks.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Remediation, decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials as assigned.
