Clean Harbors in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Environmental Field Laborer to join our safety-conscious team for hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to report to job sites.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks as described in responsibilities.
• On-call emergency response may be required; weekends/holidays possible.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and procedures.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and hand tools; work with vibration-producing tools.
• Wear and properly use PPE including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in varying temperatures and weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Work around hazardous, toxic, or corrosive substances.
• Climb ladders, scaffolding, and enter/exit trucks, tanks, and containers.
• Assist in field sampling activities and meter calibration.
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations; observe DOT requirements.
