Job summary

Flagstar Nursing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to support open-heart and cardiovascular surgeries. The role requires cardio OR experience, CST certification, and BLS; ACLS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a surgical technologist in a hospital operating room.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTSA required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS a plus.
• Experience in cardiovascular surgical procedures preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the scrub technologist for open-heart, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and instrument sets for cases.
• Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies with precision during surgeries.
• Collaborate with perfusionists and staff to manage bypass circuits.
• Ensure strict sterile technique and safety protocols.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment and maintaining sterile field integrity.
