Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment at a Level 1 trauma and stroke center. The role requires at least 6 months of recent acute care CT experience and active ARRT (R) and BLS certifications.

The 13-week contract includes responsibilities across CTA chest/neck/abdomen, CTA cardiac studies, and CT head stroke protocol. Evening/night coverage, 7p-7a, with a collaborative team and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of current acute care CT Tech experience.
• ARRT (R) and BLS certification required.
• Active KS license required if applicable.
• GE scanner experience preferred.
• Prior Meditech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• CT department handles ~130 scans per day in a 750-bed Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Performs CTA chest/neck/abdomen and CT head stroke protocol.
• Works closely with trauma and stroke teams in a busy center.

• 750-bed hospital with Level 1 Trauma and Primary Stroke Center designation
• CT department averages around 130 scans per day
• 24/7 staffing model with lead tech plus three day shift techs, a split shift 9a-9p, and one night shift tech 7p-7a
• Equipment includes four GE scanners (64-slice and above), PACS, and FUJI Synapse
• EMR system is Meditech
• Typical procedures include CTA chest, neck, and abdomen, CTA cardiac studies (structural heart program in place), and CT head stroke protocol
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13‑week assignment
• Works closely with other departments in a busy trauma and stroke center environment
• Ideal candidate is dependable, prompt, and collaborative
• Black scrubs required (not provided)
• Does not accept local candidates; 50-mile radius rule applies with no exceptions
