American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of trauma and stroke experience for a 13-week travel assignment in the Washington, DC area. The role involves 12-hour nights on a rotating schedule, performing CT and radiographic work, ensuring quality images, and supporting physicians during procedures.

Requirements include an Associate degree or equivalent, completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program, BLS and ARRT certifications, and active licensure if applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of trauma and stroke experience required.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent required; radiologic technology program completed.
• BLS (AHA) and ARRT certification required; active license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT and radiographic equipment and processors, adjusting factors by patient habitus.
• Position patients, review orders, and obtain pertinent clinical data.
• Produce high-quality radiographs while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Assist physicians during procedures including room prep and contrast reactions.
• Schedule and complete exams and enter correct charge codes.
• Work 12-hour night shifts on rotating schedule and maintain 36 hours per week.
• Travel assignment length of 13 weeks; reside within 50 miles of facility.

• Active license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer

Responsibilities

• 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule: Week 1 - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 7p-730a; Week 2 - Saturday, Sunday, Monday 7p-730a
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Operate CT and radiographic equipment and processors, adjusting technical factors based on patient body habitus
• Position patients correctly and review physician orders to obtain pertinent clinical data
• Produce high-quality radiographs while minimizing unnecessary radiation exposure to patients and self
• Assist physicians during procedures including room preparation, supplies, contrast reactions, and code response
• Schedule and complete exams and enter correct charge codes
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility
