Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an evening shift at a Level IV Trauma Center in a rural hospital. The role requires CT and X-ray proficiency, ARRT and BLS certification, and compliance with fingerprinting and license requirements.

Responsibilities include CT imaging, contrast administration, radiation safety, and collaboration with radiologists. The position runs 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, Monday through Friday with no weekends, no on-call, and no holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required.
• Must perform X-ray in addition to CT.
• Active ARRT certification required.
• Active BLS (AHA) required.
• License required if applicable.
• Fingerprinting required during compliance process.
• Skills checklist current within 1 year for CT specialty.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologists and physicians with CT and radiographic imaging for patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Perform CT studies following protocol, differentiating normal from abnormal anatomy and tailoring exams.
• Administer IV and oral contrast per protocol, monitor patient condition during procedures.
• Provide radiation protection using shielding and collimation where applicable.
• Assist in sterile procedures, obtain vital signs, and document data appropriately.
• Identify and respond to allergic reactions or urgent medical conditions, notifying radiologists.

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of CT experience and X-ray proficiency for an evening shift assignment at a Level IV Trauma Center.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Must be able to perform X-ray in addition to CT
• Toshiba CT Scanner experience preferred
• Active ARRT certification required
• Active BLS (AHA) required
• License required if applicable
• Fingerprinting required during compliance process
• Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to CT specialty required for consideration
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Radiology unit within a 49-bed rural hospital designated as a Level IV Trauma Center
• Uses Epic EMR
• Evening shift, 4:00 PM-12:00 AM, Monday through Friday
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• No holiday coverage required
• Assist radiologists and physicians with CT and radiographic imaging for patient diagnosis and treatment
• Perform CT studies following protocol, differentiating normal from abnormal anatomy and tailoring exams per patient history and radiologist instruction
• Administer IV and oral contrast per protocol, monitor patient condition throughout procedures, and document data appropriately
• Provide radiation protection using gonadal shielding and collimation where applicable
• Assist in sterile procedures, obtain vital signs and clinical history, and demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture
• Identify and respond to allergic reactions or urgent medical conditions, notifying and assisting the radiologist as needed
• Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment
