Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center in Memphis. Requires 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT CT certification, with BLS and active RN/licensure where applicable.

Responsibilities include CT imaging across multiple regions, imaging with GE equipment, and using PACS and Cerner EMR in a fast-paced ED/ICU trauma environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CT experience; 3+ preferred.
• ARRT (CT) and BLS certification required.
• Trauma Level II experience preferred; teaching hospital exposure helps.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT experience required, 3+ years preferred
• ARRT (CT) and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Active RN license in the state or compact license compliant with NLC guidelines
• Trauma Level I experience required, Level II preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
• BSN required only for specific units; ADN accepted for all other positions
• Proficiency in image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, and chest CT studies
• Experience preparing and administering contrast media
• Skilled in isolation precautions and PPE use
• Driver's license copy required at time of consideration

Responsibilities

• Radiology/Cardiology CT Tech unit within an adult acute care, Emergency Department, and ICU setting
• Level II Trauma Center
• 3x12-hour day shifts, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Schedule is fixed and not open to block scheduling
• Uses GE equipment and PACS imaging system
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Perform CT imaging across abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, spine, and chest regions
• Support ED and ICU patient populations in a trauma care environment
• Floating between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius may occur, though rare
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
• All RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests made after an offer will not be honored
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Vaccination status must be included with consideration
