Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT(R)/ARRT(CT) certification for a night-shift position at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

Requirements include Virginia license or active status, BLS, Epic charting experience, contrast media handling, and radiation safety knowledge. Travel experience is required; first-time travelers may not be considered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CT Tech experience required.
• Active BLS, ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required.
• Virginia state license required; pending license accepted with active license in hand.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Experience with contrast media preparation/administration.
• Radiation safety knowledge required.
• Previous travel experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care teaching hospital CT unit.
• Operate in a Level I Trauma Center setting with Magnet designation and stroke center status.
• 3x12 night shifts, Fri–Sun, 7p–7a with start time +/- 2 hours.
• No on-call requirement.
• Utilize Siemens equipment and Epic for workflows.
• May float to Carilion Clinic location nearby.
• Adhere to unit RTO and holiday coverage rules.

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years experience and ARRT(R)/ARRT(CT) certification to work night shifts at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

Requirements

• Virginia state license required; license required if applicable, pending license accepted with an active license in hand
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Radiation safety knowledge required
• Previous travel experience required

Responsibilities

• Acute care teaching hospital setting within a CT Tech unit
• Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, certified stroke center with over 700 licensed beds
• 3x12 hour night shifts, Friday-Sunday, 7p-7a with start times subject to +/- 2 hour variance based on department needs
• No on-call requirement
• Siemens and Epic experience required
• May be required to float to a nearby Carilion Clinic location approximately half a mile away
• Facility allows one call-off per 2 weeks
• Holiday coverage required based on unit need, including possible scheduling on holidays outside contracted days
• All RTO requests must be submitted with the initial submission
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates are not accepted; radius rules apply as determined by facility policy
• Previous employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler, subject to updated facility separation policy effective July 1, 2025
